Pat and Gordon got here fine and seem to be doing very well. They haven't changed much. You'd never know anything was going on in their bodies. And their visit with Kelly and the kids went so good. They had a great time. Thank you, Lord, for hearing the prayers and answering.
One prayer that was answered for me was about the time I met Deedle I prayed that God would reviel himself to Deedle and I. We went to a bible study and have been changed ever scince as God revieled his grace to us. Still today we see his hand in our lives. Thank you Jesus for the cross.
Thank you, Chuck for sharing your prayer of thanks. This is the story I have been wanting you to share. Only I remember a little more to the story. I'll post it here, and you can correct me if I'm not accurate.
You and Deedle were going to buy this house from a builder who was your friend, but when it came time to sign for the loan, you decided you were not willing to pay that price for it, so you turned it down. The builder bought it himself. He invited you guys to a bible study in the home and you accepted his invite because you wanted to see what they did with the inside of the house - the colors, the decorations, the furniture, and all that. You went in for the bible study and came out born again christians! I love this story!
Chuck's surgery went very well. He is home now. He has some pain and swelling and is on some meds, but he's okay. Thank God for being there with him through this surgery. Thank Him for the good doctor and anesthesioligist, thank God for the surgery center and the wonderful care he received while there. Keep praying for a speedy recovery for him.
Another answered prayer today! Rudy's sister is coming to Billings to help Karen drive to New York! Praise God. A big worry load has been lifted from my shoulders, and I'm sure lots of you, too. Please keep praying for her. Pray they'll get to Rochester, N. Y. with out having any car troubles, no bad weather to battle. Pray she'll find the perfect job and the perfect home and soon! Thank you, Jesus, for going ahead to prepare the way for her. Send your angels to guard and protect them every inch of the journey. Thank You, God!
Thank you dear Lord, for Chuck's new knee. May he live happily ever after with full use of it, and no more agony and pain.
Thank you for Karen's new beginnings. May all her best laid plans fall into place, and may she live happily ever after with security, love, friendship and happiness.
There was an opening at Fed Ex in Tampa, Fl or somewhere where Chuck and Deedle were going to move to. So Chuck put in for it, and would have had the job, except they told him he had to be where he is now for at least 2 years before they can move him anywhere - company policy! Answered prayer. now they don't have to move to Florida!
Once when I was with Lonnie and Phil going somewhere on the highway, Phil was driving pretty fast - really fast, actually. A red blinking light appeared from out of nowhere and Phil pulled over and the oficer asked him to step out of the car. Once he was out, Lonnie said "Oh good, I was praying that he would slow down without my telling him."
Well - I'm home from the hospital and the gall bladder surgery was very successful. I had no pain, was up and walking in just an hour and walked all night long to the bathroom by myself, walked out of the hospital the next morning and out to the car. I know God heard all the prayers that you all were praying for this, and He heard and answered! the nurses said that, too! I had a head ache during the night, but by morning it was gone. Probably just the anesthetic they gave me wearing off. I wasn't nauseous or groggy or anything! Thank you for the prayers! Thank you, Jesus for answering them in such a mighty way. "I will sing of the mercies of my Lord forever, I will sing, I will sing. . . . " A song we sing in prayer meeting. The end of psalm 23. I love you, Lord! I love all of you. Thank you! This is the easiest surgery I've ever had!
Joshua is home for Thanksgiving. He'll be home until Saturday, and then has to go back for 3 more weeks! He came over today. A very different kid than he was when he left! He looks and acts so good. I am so proud of him. He is now 6ft, 1 inch and has gained some weight. And muscles. He knows what he wants out of his life and future now. The prayers are being answered. But, please keep praying. Pray for protection for him, that he will not give in to the temptations that are all around him. He even talked a lot about Jesus and Christianity, and all of that. Wow! We had a good time today. I had to take him to the dentist and the doctor because Dennis and Linda both had to work today. He helped me move furniture around in the living room, since I can't do that right now. We even had time for lunch in between his appointments. I was reminded of a great doctor story with those boys. I told him and he remembered. We had a lot of laughs over that one! It goes like this: When he was 3, Jeremy was 2, and Jade was one I got the privilege of taking them to the Dr. for their shots! This was the first of a series of 3 shots. I forgot what they were for. But they were all nervous. So, I decided that maybe since Josh was the oldest, he could go first and be a good example for other boys so they wouldn't be so scared! Well, I set the two boys on the couch in the waiting room, and went in with Josh, at the request of the nurse, because he didn't want to be in there without me. I went in and he had his mouth open as wide as it goes and the minute he saw me, he started screaming at the top of his lungs and crying "No, no, no" - Well, Jeremy and Jade heard that and the receptionist came running back and said "hurry, Jeremy bolted out the door and ran down the street screaming, and Jade dived under the couch" and she couldn't go get them. Neither could I as it was taking all I had to hold Josh down for his shot. So we traded places and the receptionis held Josh down while I ran after Jeremy. When I got him I had to carry him screaming and kicking back and then I had to put him on the couch and crawl under to get Jade. While I was down there, Jeremy ran back out the door. I coaxed Jade out (by grabbing his foot and pulling him out). Carrying him, I ran after Jeremy. I had to chase him down again. I could hear Josh crying in there so loud, and the Dr. and receptionist trying to make him be still long enough to give him the shot. The receptionist finally came out to get Jeremy and Jade and they dug their heals in and wouldn't budge. I think I had to take them home without the shots. I was totally pooped out and so was the Dr. and nurse. I told Linda I would never, ever take them for shots again. I didn't have enough energy. And I never did. They must have eventually got those shots. They are still around, and don't seem to mind going to the Dr's and Dentists at all anymore. Probably because I wasn't with them again.
Praise the Lord that Josh has a chance in life! Yes, we must continue to pray for him to remain of healthy mind and stand up for what is right and not cave to temptation. Same with his brothers. There is so much in the world to steer young minds down the wrong path. What a great story Mom. Had never heard it before. I would have liked to see it on video, but you did such a good job describing all the details that I can picture exactly how it must have been.
We had offered prayers for Arjay and his problem with school. And for Janet that she can feel okay about it. She wrote on the Eve's Dropper and said that she felt better after reading the prayers. Thank you Jesus. Now we pray that you help Arjay, and keep him in school, in the space program. Keep his enthusiasm going for what he is doing. We pray this in Jesus' name. And we thank God, for hearing our prayer, and now we will be patient as He works this out as He sees fit.
Thank you all for your prayers for Tiffany. It took a long time, but she finally realized she needed help and got into the perfect progrm for drug addictiojn. She is doing really well where she is and is determined to turn her life around. Praise God!!!
Thank you Jesus, that Jade got a job yesterday. He looks so happy. Please continue to guide him and watch over him, and all of my sons, nieces, nephews, cousins, sisters, brothers, parents, aunts & uncles, friends, and anyone who I may have forgotten to mention who needs prayer. In Jesus' name, Amen.
Thank you for answering my prayers Lord Jesus! I sold my condo and found a beautiful place to live. I am so thankful that Janet is moving here so I can get to know my sister again! I pray for a safe trip here for Janet and Linda. And I also pray that Janet will be able to sell her home. Finally, I ask that she may be able to find a job that will appreciate her strengths and talents. Thank you for your loving presence, Dear God, and for your perfect will and timing.
