Lonnie's Surgery

I do believe that Lonnie is scheduled for surgery tomorrow, Wednesday the 31st. I am putting this here rather than in the prayer requewsts, because there is such a long list of requests and I would like your attention directed to praying for a successful surgery.

Heavenly Father,

I hold your servant, Lonnie, up to you and ask that you prepare her for surgery by giving her a heart filled with peace and the knowledge that the Great Physician will be in that operating room with her and will sit with her through recovery.

I ask that you guide the surgeon's hands, Lord, and that the surgery be successful and without incident. Restore Lonnie's energy and remove every trace of depression from her. Grant her a speedy recovery. When she is over-doing it (and she WILL try to over-do it) nudge her with a reminder that she is to take care of herself and not worry about "things getting done" as you are in the process of knitting her body and spirit back together.

I pray in Jesus name.

Amen.

Thank you Jesus for what you are about to do for Lonnie.

Thank you so much for this prayer. I appreciate it more than you know. I will pray it for me, too! It is right on. Actually, I am very nervous about this surgery. I guess surgery is never fun. This prayer and knowing you are praying for me really helps!

Yes, Amen! Sharon, you certainly have a gift with words. I could not have said it better.

Thank you Lord for taking good care of my Mother.

Has anyone heard how Mom's surgery went yet? I left a message and have not heard anything yet.

Dad just got home from the hospital and called. Said Mom is doing fine. Sitting up having some jello and broth. Her surgery didn't start until about 4 this afternoon. They sat up there all day with Mom not having one thing to eat or drink since 10:30 last night, poor thing. Linda and Chuck and Deedle were all there too. Linda stayed and Dad came home now, but will be back there early in the morn to bring her home. Then, he'll stay off work for 5-6 days, or longer if needed, to take care of our dear ol' Mammy.

This prayer was answered so completely and exactly. I'm always amazed at how God does what He does! I always takes me by surprise, and I know it shouldn't! Our God is an awesome God.

I was so nervous about this surgery, but everyone said I was so much calmer than I ever was before when I was about to go in for surgery. ("A heart filled with peace and the knowledge that the Great Physician would be in that operating room with me and would be sitting with me through recovery." When Sharon called and prayed with me over the phone she prayed for the Lord to hand pick everyone who was working in that surgery room and recovery. And I knew it! He did just that! And the surgery "was successful and without a single incident!" Not even any pain or grogginess or anything! Unbelievable - except for God! And I'm sure the rest of this prayer will be answered, too - Restored energy and depression removed. Speedy recovery. And He already has reminded that I was overdoing it, so I remembered these words, and quit. I slept for 2 solid hours! I know God is in the process of knitting my body and spirit back together! Thanks for this prayer! Thank you, Jesus, my Lord, for hearing and answering! And we pray this same prayer for Chuck now as you are knitting his body and spirit back together. We pray in Jesus mighty name. Thanks everyone for your prayers.

Thank you, Jesus. Please continue to knit Lonnie back together. Continue to remind her to allow herself to heal.

Lord, I ask that you remove the source of the pain from Chuck's knee. Knit his leg back together so he can continue to enjoy all of the things that you have given him in life. I do ask Lord that Chuck use this "down time" to draw even closer to you.

I pray in Jesus name. Thank you Jesus for what you are doing for Chuck!
