Hope is required to see the fullness of your faith. When hope dies, your faith will die also. Expectation is the breeding ground for miracles. -What you fail to expect, your faith will fail to deliver. Write down what you expect, make it plain, and thank God for it now!
Some scriptures to ponder about Hope...
Hebrews 11:7
Proverbs 13:12
Acts 3:1-7
Ephesians 2:12
Romans 15:4
Psalms 119:81 and 114
Hope is earnest, heartfelt, favorable, confident expectation. It's a desirable goal from God's Word. It's expecting with an outstretched neck, looking for what you believe will happen. Your hope will change and rearrange your plans. Hope is required for your faith to work. Scriptures are essential to our hope.

I forgot to say that these are words from Creflo Dollar, I just posted them. I hope this helps others as it has helped me.
What is Creflo Dollar.
Phylis and I used these scriptures for our Bible time this morning. VERY POWERFUL!! Thank you for sending them.
Creflo Dollar is a preacher on TV. Go to www.creflodollarministries.org
Click on Bible Studies or Study Notes. Very good stuff there. He is on right after Joyce Meyer on the Daystar channel.
Sharon, What, may I ask, was POWERFUL for YOU? What did you get out of it? Would you mind sharing? The best thing I got out of it is "Thank God for it NOW", Think of it as already happening. Visualize it in you mind and get excited about it. That is being grateful, and gratitute is the attitude we need to make fatih work. We can't have faith without hope. That is what I think. I would like your thoughts....
Anyone??
Hello?
Where did everybody go??
Hmmmmmmmmmm
Anyway, I thought it was very Powerful, too, Sharon.
I did do a comment right after Sharon's, but I must have forgotten to click the publish button!
There is so much about hope - it is the Blessed Hope that keeps us going on this journey. This is so good, Karen. Lots here to ponder. I asked everyone to read those scriptures and ponder them and then maybe write here what their thoughts are on the scriptures. I will do that, too, but I want to wait until you guys post your comments. I'm sorry it didn't get submitted. But - now it will, hopefully.
Is anybody meditating on these scriptures? Post your thoughts on them here. I'm waiting to see what everyone is gleaning from them. Then I'll post what I see there.
No one is home...boo hoo
I apologize for not responding when you asked me to, Karen.
These scriptures come together with a new realization of the promises of God and that we, His followers, can claim them. We can know for certain that God will do what he says he will do. He told Noah to build an ark because the world was going to be punished and renewed and Noah knew it was going to happen because GOD SAID SO. Noah built the arc even though he was ridiculed. In Acts, the lame man at the gate was hoping for a gift, and got even more that he could have dreamed of - the use of his legs! How did Peter and John know God would heal the cripple through them? Because GOD SAID SO! When we live a life of sin, we are apart from God. When we are apart from God, we do NOT have the promises he gave us in scripture. Repent! Come back to God and all that He has to offer you. How do we know God will forgive us? Because GOD SAID SO. When God grants that which we hope for, we are filled with joy and life. Because of God's Word (the Bible) we know we can look forward to God's conquering sin and death. He will conquer the sin in your life - take it to Him. Even in death, the followers of Jesus Christ do not die. How do we know this? Because GOD SAID SO. We can expect God to do exactly as He promised. How do you learn His promises? By reading His Word (Bible). God freed His chosen people from Egypt AS HE PROMISED and brought them safely to the edge of the Promised Land. But remember, not all of them saw the Promised Land because they sinned on the way. When they got frightened, or hungry, or weary they lost faith in God and put their hope in idols. We must put our hope in ONLY God and in the promises He gives us through scripture.
Now then, I believe this is a powerful batch of scripture, Karen, because we are coming up on hard times. We in this country are going to suffer because we are used to having what we need AND what we want. We will get frightened, and hungry, and weary. God is reminding us through scripture to PUT OUR HOPE IN GOD AND ONLY GOD.
I pray this makes sense and is not a rambling.
SHaron this is very good. WHEW, that is some good reading and good stuff to study.
We are going to be on hard times. It is predicted that gas will be $7a gallon by August and $12 in two years. No one will be able to afford to drive to work. IT is going to be something. Food prices will go up just as much, and so forth. We best be putting our hope and faith in God, I agree, Sharon.
Thanks for sharing.
Our God is so awesome and so good! These scriptures truly are powerful, Karen! And the comments from you and Sharon are truly annointed and a gift God has given you to share with all of us! Thank you!
Anyone else have any comments to share about these scriptures or about hope?
A few thoughts I would like to share on these scriptures:
It is sad not to get what you hope for - But wishes that come true are like eating fruit from the tree of life! (prov 13:12)
We all hope for the healing touch of God. Either physical, emotional, or spiritual. And when it happens, it's hard for us to really believe it actually happened right away! But, when we do - we need to praise God and thank Him for answering our prayer and giving us HOPE! (Acts 3:1-7)
We have HOPE because of Jesus's sacrifice and the blood of the precious lamb. Without that sacrificial sacrifice, we were doomed - no hope for redemption - no hope for a better life! No purpose to our lives. HE is our hope! (Eph 2:12)
The word of God - the scriptures - give us patience and encouragement so that we can have HOPE! We can read there what God has in store for us. God's word gives us something to hang on to for we know His word is truth, what He promises He will do! (Romans 15:4)
We hope in your word (Ps 119:81 and 114)
Also Psalm 42 is a must read when we are discouraged. It gives us HOPE.
HOPE
What do you need most today? Do you need just a word of hope? That's what we all need. And that's what the Word of God does that nothing and no one else can. The Word of God says to us that there is no hopeless situation, no hopeless illness, no hopeless marriage. If there were hopeless situations, then God would have given up long ago.
Having a Savior in Christ means that the hopeless have hope, the dead have life, and the abandoned have Good News.
Our hope is the anchor for the soul. "Where's your hope?" Jesus asks. It is the confident hope of the return of Christ. The Blessed Hope of heaven!
Jesus, you never promised us that this world would be easy, and yet, all of us can look ahead to the city that's set on a hill, to the lights that call us to eternity. And we take hope.
(From my inspirational study bible by Max Lucado - page 882)
And don't forget that true praise is a worthy sacrafice - true praise really honors God. And offer Him your thanks often. Read Psalm 50. It tells us what God expects of us as far as sacrificial offerings.
I read Psalm 50 tonight from "The Way" bible. It is a very good word for us at this time in our history! I especially like how it says in verse 15 in this bible:
"I want you to trust me in your times of trouble, so I can rescue you, and you can give me glory." Isn't that awesome?
Yes. THank you Mom, I will try to visualize God rescuing me. This is very comforting.
MOm and Sharon,
Thank you for what you put in here. I am learning a lot from you. I will continue to study these scriptures. THANKS
