Tomorrow, May 29, is their anniversary! Happy day to you.
This is the prayer I journaled today for you:
Read Ecclesiasticus (Sirach) chapter 39. These verses - 39 and 41 - especially stood out as I prayed for you: "All the works of the Lord are good, and He will supply every want in due time. So now, sing with all your heart and voice, and bless the name of the Lord."
Remember when you and Linda and Janet and Yo Yo (Linda's parrot) made that cassette tape for us for Christmas about 20 years ago? At the end of it you read Psalm 103. Read it now - it's so appropriate for you and Russ today! It is a wonderful prayer for you to pray in these tough times. (you and all of us as well)
There is a song we used to sing at prayer meeting that is stuck in my mind as I am praying for you. The words are "The Lord is blessing you right now, right now. The Lord is blessing you right now. You may not be able to see all that the Lord is doing for you, but the Lord is blessing you right now."
Praise you, Jesus. Thank you.

I especially like verses 17, 18, and 19 of Psalm 103. I see it as a promise that our children and grandchildren, etc. will also be saved. Sometimes I forget they are God's children, I was just a guide and caretaker for part of their lives, but they are God's kids. He isn't going to let them go unsaved. When He knew the time was right for me, He called my name - and He will do the same for my children and their children and so on and on. Sometimes, He has to allow some pretty life-shattering events to happen in order to get our attention. But, get it He will!
HAPPY ANNIVERSARY RUSS & KAY. How many is this? You two make a really handsome couple.
Yes, Happy Anniversary Kay & Russ! It doesn't seem like it's been four years already. God Bless you both!
Happy Anniversary! Hope you did something fun together!
I love Psalm 103 - although I don't remember it being on that silly tape. I'll have to listen to it again. Do you still have it, mom? I especially love v 3-5
Yes, I have that cassette. I treasure it. We'll definitely have to listen to it again. It's so fun. If I think of it, I'll bring it to Tacoma. Except I wonder if anyone has a cassette player to listen to it on?
I found this cassette last night. Believe it or not it was just sitting there on the speaker of my stereo! So I turned my back for a moment, thinking I'd play it in a bit. When I turned back around the cassette part of my stereo was open! Why was it on the speaker. I have no idea! How did the cassete receiver open? I have no idea. But, I feel maybe I was meant to listen to it while I worked on cleaning this basement! So I did. I throroughly enjoy it, and will bring it to Tacoma in case we can listen to it sometime. It's really quite good. And very funny.
Also emotional.
Wow Mom! Thank you for the wonderful prayer. I do not remember this verses being on the tape. I hope we can listen to it again. That is really something that it was put in your way for you to listen to.
