Tuesday - June 3, 2009 - day of prayer for Linda and family

I couldn't find any recent pictures of the boys all together, so I posted a couple of my favorites. Aren't they the cutest!

June 3rd - 1st anniversary of Dennis destroying everything and going to jail. Linda has been cleaning up all the damages he caused ever since. A very tough year (or 3, really!)

Here is a scripture I found for Linda and her boys:

Isaiah 30:18 - 21

"Yahweh is waiting to be gracious to you, for Yahweh is a just God; happy are all who hope in Him. Yes, Linda and boys - you will live in Great Falls and weep no more. God will be gracious to you when He hears your cry; when He hears He will answer. Dennis - when the Lord has given you the bread of suffering and the water of distress, He who is your teacher will hide no longer. Linda and boys, whether you turn to the right or to the left, your ears will hear these words behind you - "this is the way, follow it".

Oh Lord, we all join together in placing Linda and her family at your feet. We praise you and thank you for being their God - for your grace, mercy, and protection!

Protect Joshua from harm in his travels in the Marines. Let no harm come to him.

We pray for Jeremy and Jade during the summer months. They need jobs. Thank you that Jeremy can work for Paul. Now he needs a dependable car to get there. Please provide for them. We pray for emotional healing of all the hurts and memories they've endured.

Prosper Linda in her work. Give her the energy and health she needs to do all she needs to do.

Guard their finances.

Guide them on their paths.

In the name of Jesus we pray! We plead the precious blood of the lamb over them, and over their doorposts, over their cars, their friends. No harm to come near them.

Thank you, Lord!

Wow! Thank you! This is a powerful prayer and scripture. I appreciate all of the prayer support. I know that God is watching over us because we have been provided with a place to live, which was a miracle in itself, job(s), friends and the most wonderful family - ever!! THANK YOU JESUS!!!!!

AMEN! Wonderful scripture and prayer, Lonnie. I am confident that God has Linda's back and protects her and her boys 24-7. It is good that you recognize the many ways tht you have been blessed, Linda. I pray we can all do that!

Thank you, Jesus, for speaking through me. Your word, the bible, is so powerful. Thank you for directing the path of prayer. What an awesome God we have.

Josh called us yesterday. I had a great visit with him. Phil was golfing, so didn't get to talk with him. He is apprehensive (I think scared) about having to go to Afghanistan in January, and worried about his friend, Williams, going there in August. So, I prayed for him, and told him I've been praying, and so has his mom and everyone. He said "Yeah, My mom told me that". I said whenever I pray for you, I see these huge big arms around you, and I know that is God's protection around you. Pray for him, ok?

And guess what else? I actually have Jade reading scriptures. I can't see without my glasses, so whenever he comes here, I have him read whatever I pick out that I can't see. He reads it out loud to me. Seems to enjoy doing that. Yesterday, I picked something that looked so short. It happened to be Matthew 14:25 "About four o'clock in the morning Jesus came to them, walking on the water! They screamed in terror, for they thought he was a ghost!" Jade just thought that was hillarious, and it caught his interest, so he read the rest of it. He read it quietly to himself. So I said what does it say? He told me in His own words what it said. I was able to teach Him an important principal - KEEP YOUR EYES ON JESUS WHEN THE STORMS AND BAD TIMES ARE RAGING AROUND YOU. HE WILL KEEP YOU SAFE. HE WILL RESCUE YOU WHEN YOU BEGIN TO TAKE YOUR EYES OFF HIM, AND ONTO THE STORMY SEAS AROUND YOU. ALWAYS TRUST HIM.

I thought that was amazing! I'll continue to do this, and I'll always pray for Josh and our many soldiers in harm's way, and I'll always be more than proud of them.

Amen again!
Hard to believe it's been a year since Linda and the boys' lives have been turned upside down and sideways.
I like the picture of Jesus' big strong arms around Josh, comforting him, protecting him, loving him. I think we can all use that visual from time to time. God is up close and personal in our lives - all the little details, he's right there. Nothing - no thing - gets through the filter of his protective hands.
Linda - I'm praying for you, too! Love you-

Yes, I'll keep Josh in my prayers. Do you have an address for him?

This is great prayer. I will keep praying for God's protective awning over Linda and her sons. God if faithful. Good news for Jade.

I really like this picture of Linda. She looks very happy and relaxed and at peace. I will pray that her life stays this way (once it gets there for good). She has been on an emotional roller coaster for sure! How she has managed to do everything she has accomplished this past year is beyond me. And she just keeps going. She is an amazing woman. I will always keep praying for her. What a wonderful friend and sister she is!

This picture of Linda is one they took at Conlin's to hang on the wall along with all the other sales people. I think it is a great picture. Shows her beauty and personality, doesn't it. I also love the boys' pictures. So cute! I think it was good they had ears or their baseball caps would not have stayed above their eyes!

Thanks for all the comments, everyone.

I just noticed how Jeremy has his teddy bear in both of those pictures. He was inseparable from that teddy bear for years! He wore it out! May they all find Jesus as comforting as that teddy bear was to Jeremy.
