This is such a beautiful psalm! One of my favorites. On that cassette tape that Kay and Janet and Linda and Yo-Yo made for us for Christmas one year when they were in Denver and we were here, Kay read this psalm at the end of it. I loved that! And still do!

Verses 1-3 are so lovely. And such a wonderful promise!:

"Bless Yahweh, my soul, bless His holy name, all that is in me!
Bless Yahweh, my soul, and remember all his kindnesses:

in forgiving all your offenses,
in curing all your diseases,
in redeeming your life from the
pit,
in crowning you with love and
tenderness,
in filling your years with
prosperity,
in renewing your youth like an
eagle's." (In my footnotes to
this last line it says - like
an eagle recovering strength and
vigor after moulting.)

We should all take a few moments , or longer, to go through these verses and remember all his kindnesses in each one. Journal what remember.

Such wonderful promises He gives us! Make Psalm 103 your prayer (there is so much more good stuff following these verses). Pray this prayer throughout the day. Maintain an attitude of praise in all your activities.

We lived in Billings when the girls made us that cassette. Not Great Falls, as mentioned above..

Ah, Mom, this is why I love to post these promises - cuz I love to read what you write about them.
I've been reading various authors on forgiveness (the book you sent me is one).
Every author mentions that unforgiveness can be related to health issues. As you quoted from your Bible, "...in forgiving all your offenses, in curing all your diseases..."
Another version says, "...who pardons all your iniquities, who heals all your deseases..." I just think it's interesting that those two issues are related.
