This film was so good - "How Great is Our God". Very powerful teachings on life and the universe and the miracles we are - There surely is a God. An awesome God! I love lamenin!
We enjoyed a meal of corn chowder and bisquits and chicken and chocolate cupcakes. Very good. I took some pictures to post of us enjoying the cupcakes - Susan requested that we do that. Now I can't figure out how to get the pictures onto the computer so I can put them on here. Somehow I'll do it, just give me a day or two.
We discussed the film and then we watched the movies "Analyze That", and a movie called something Moon. (I can't remember the name of it!) The last one was such a good movie. Linda brought it home from Minnesota.
All in all it was a great time and a good celebration.
Next time our film will be "Hope" - Louie Giglio again.

Be sure to see Kay's and Linda's comments about this celebration on the next post.
It was called Pontiac Moon.
Thanks Mom, for organizing this. It is a wonderful way to prepare for our Jesus' Birthday.
I love this one - the comparison of the planets to our sun, to other stars... truly amazing!!! Our God is an awesome God!
And to think of how he humbled Himself. It puts it all into perspective, to think of Jesus as a wee little babe.
I was looking at a picture book today about the first Christmas and the picture of baby Jesus was crying. You never see that, but surely He cried! I wonder when He knew He was who He is.
I made a stew - like soup with sourdough bread that I toasted. It was good and still is since I have enough left to feed an army.
Mmmm. That sounds good, Debbie. What army are you inviting over to share the food with?
I don't think I've ever seen a picture of baby Jesus crying.
I wonder if when he was baptised by John in the Jordan River and the dove came and God said "This is my beloved". I wonder if that's when He knew who He was. I don't know. Or was it when He was in the temple and Mary & Josheph couldn't find him anywhere and scolded Him for leaving them. He said "Don't you know I am about my Father's business?" I wonder . . .
This really was a good film, wasn't it.
Our next one - Sunday, Dec 8 - will be "Hope" - Louie Giglio. It is in two parts. Dad wants to watch part 1 this Sunday and part 2 next Sunday. I hope that is ok. He things 90+ minutes too long of a time, what with eating and visiting and all. That will mean we have the next 2 Sundays to do "Hope", and on the 23rd we'll do the "Twelve Words of Christmas" - another wonderful Louie film. Then on the 30th, we'll do a documentary film about the star of Bethlehem. That will be good, anyway, because it's about the Magi, or Three King's, following the star to Bethlehem. What was it? Very interesting.
So, anyway, we'll see you all on Sunday at 3:00. Eat first, watch film after, or however you want to do it. Look up "Hope" on you tube if you don't have it.
That sounds like a good plan! I'll be there! Or here. Or wherever it is that I am.
Just always remember - wherever you go that's where you are. (Bob Barnes's quote from when we went to Flathead Methodist Family Camp with him).
