Lord, I thank You that into the deep engulfing darkness of this world You have come as a light that can never grow dim. All the world has to offer doesn't hold a candle to the light of your presence. You are a radiant fire that illuminates the shadows of our souls and warms the coldness of our hearts. Just like the Wise Men who followed Your light to find You, I, too, have followed Your light and found You. Now, because I believe in You, Your light dwells within me forever. I have found the way of truth, and my darkness will never be the same. Thank You, Lord, that You can be found by those who seek You. Thank You that those who follow You will never walk in darkness.
In Jesus' name I pray. Amen.
God's Promise to Me:
I am the light of the world. He who follows Me shall not walk in darkness, but have the light of life. --Jonn 8:12

This reminds me of the time I went to the caverns outside of Helena with Liz. We got the underground tour. They turned off the lights down there so we could see what utter darkness is like. You can't even see your hand if you put it in front of your face. But just light one tiny little candle and the darkness dissipates. That is a picture of life without Christ and life with Him.
They told the story of some guy who got stuck down there and his flashlight died. They found him a few days later and he had no sense of up or down and was in fact blind for a few days. "I once was lose, but now am found, was blind but now I see". Life with the Light, and life without. Everyone must choose. What is your choice?
I know I choose life with the Light of Christ.
Thank you, Debbie, for your comments and wisdom. I enjoy reading what you say so much.
I'm glad you got your new computer. Did you go to the class last night on how to use it? Or did you just know.
Good story Debbie. I love the analogy about being disoriented and temporarily blinded without any light. It's so true.
