I remember the Easter in Boise when Mom and Dad and Debbie and baby Sofie came for a visit. We colored Easter eggs and Dad enjoyed that. I need to find the picture where he is so intent in his crafting the perfect egg. If I find it I will post it here. The weather was gorgeous. Dad and Russ played horseshoes whilst us gals played cards on the porch. Once the guys got done playing HS, they came and played cards with us. Sofie was doing something in the HS Pit. Sofie was so small. Debbie walked over and saw that she had some cat poo in her mouth. Debbie picked up that little baby girl and shook her til the poo flew out. Then she shook her some more to teach her a lesson and then she went in the house and literraly washed her mouth out with soap. That poor little baby was traumatized and never went to the HS pit again after that. I think she had "shakin' baby syndrome".
I could have been reported to CPS if she was a real baby! Her fatuation now is the hairballs the cat next door leaves for her. ewwww! but definitely better than poop.
That was a fun Easter - our eggs look professional don't they?
Another funny story is when we went to GF for Easter. Linda was making a turkey I think, or maybe it was supposed to be a ham. When she got it out of the oven, lo and behold, it was a single cornish game hen. There were 10 or 12 of us for dinner, so the one hen really quacked us all up.
Our Easter was fun this year. Dad and Linda colored the Easter eggs. They really were having fun doing it, too. The eggs turned out so nice, for the most part. All of them turned out the same color. Dad put "HELP - let me out" on one of them. Mary Ellen was the lucky recipient of that one. They took 4 of them over to Chuck and Deedle to hide for them to find. Dad just layed them out in a row on their front grass and then Linda rang the doorbell and they hid! Dad gave 3 of them to the neighbors who have a little 2 year old girl. He placed them in their back yard. She found them later on. He got a cute thank-you from her today. On Easter morn Linda hid 2 eggs, and we send Dad out to find them, as we had no one else to do that, since I knew where all the eggs were. He co-operated. I took some pictures, which I'll try to put on here as soon as I figure it out!
We had so much fun. Mass, then dinner at Perkins, then a movie. Deedle made such pretty cupcakes for us, and a beautiful cake for Linda and Jade. I have pictures of that, too.
The movie was good, although it was very intense all the whole 2 hours. We came home exhausted, and took 3 hour naps until it was time for bed.

Just in case any one is wondering, Sofie is a dog not a real baby.
