Read Romans chapter 4
Think of Abraham's impossible situation: He was 100 years old. Sarah was about 80 - well beyond child bearing years. But God had promised him his descendants would inherit the earth. Even though Abraham could not understand how he could possibly have descendants when he wasn't even having children, he beleieved anyway, he had faith in God's promise - in his impossible situation. His faith in God never became weak. He never doubted that God would keep His promise, and he never stopped believing. He, in fact, grew stronger in his faith and gave praise to God. Abraham felt sure that God was able to do what he had promised. So, "God accepted Abraham's faith". These words ("God accepted Abraham's faith") were written not only for Abraham, but also for us.
Read Romans chapter 5, verses 1-5
Through our Lord, Jesus Christ, we have gained access by faith to the grace in which we now stand, and we boast of our hope for the glory of God.
Prayer:
Dear Jesus - when we look on Kenny and his trouble he's in, we see an impossible situation. How could he ever be healed? How can he ever be healed of cancer and heart disease? Even though we do not understand, we just know that you can do anything. You can heal him. You know what he needs. You know the faith of his wife and his family! So, we just boast of that hope we have because of our faith in you. We all believe that you can do this miracle for Kenny. And we give you glory and praise for what you are about to do for him. In Jesus name we pray, AMEN!
Kenny is now cancer free! Thank you, Jesus! We just pray for continued health, for strength to return, and peace in his heart.

Yes, Jesus, a miracle for Josi. Let those who love her hear her voice again. Let this experience, this walk through darkness, bring all of Josi's family close together. In Jesus name, I pray.
And a miracle for my sister, Pat, please. Give Pat more time and let it be pain-free, happy, healthy time. In Jesus name, I pray.
I am reminded of the Woman who just knew if she could get close enough to Jesus to touch the hem of his garment, she would be healed. She did and she was!
Please, Lord Jesus, give my sister Pat a faith so strong she knows beyond doubt that if she gets close enough to touch the hem of your garment she will be healed. Then lead her right up to Jesus and let His healing touch fill her body from the top of her head to the bottom of her toes. No more cancer. No more pain. No more worries. In Jesus name, I pray.
An afterthought concerning Abraham. He had waited forever and ever for a son, and God finally gave him one. Imagine how Abraham must have loved Isaac and had a fatherly instinct to protect him. Yet, when God directed Abraham to make a sacrificial lamb of Isaac, Abraham obeyed, he had faith enough to know in his heart that God knew what he was doing. Could I have a faith THAT srong?
Only by the grace of God! I pray for faith like that, Jesus! I do know you hear us. I do know you love us, and you love those we are praying for even more than we love them. I do know you will be there for them and for us and that you hear our prayers and answer them. What I need is patience. Patience to wait for YOUR timing and YOUR work to be done in these situations. Patience - when I don't get instant results - to be able to know you are here and you are working, even though I cannot see the results right now and not the way I imagine. Thank you Jesus for the GIFT of faith!
Beautifully stated, Lonnie. And all God's people said "AMEN!"
Jesus, By your stripes we are healed. Thank you for taking on the sins of the world - MY SINS - so mankind could know salvation and live a happy, healthy life. Please touch Mike with that healing touch of Your's and grant him a clean bill of health. We pray in Jesus name.
Thank you, Father, for loving Kenny and removing cancer from his body. Please renew and regenerate every cell in his body so he can remain cancer-free forever. Thank you, Father!
