Prayer request

Please keep Linda and her boys in your prayers this week. Dennis's jury trial is scheduled for Monday, Feb 9th. And also the divorce hearing is scheduled for the afternoon of that same day. She is praying the divorce hearing can be settled out of court. Dennis is not wanting this. His criminal trial will be very hard. Pray that justice is served. Thank you!

Linda,
You and your boys are in my prayers. I will pray for a speedy resolution to the whole thing. That you will have peace and comfort to see you through. I will pray that this chapter of your life is closed quickly and God prospers you starting right now. I love you.

You are in my thoughts and prayers, Linda. I am sure it will be such a relief for you when this is all done and you can put it behind you. Just know that Jesus is walking into that court room with you and he will stay by your side the entire time.

My sister Pat used to pray a simple prayer, and I pray it for you: thy will be done, Father.

I'm thinking these prayers are already being answered. Today Linda got a call from the prosecutor's office that the criminal trial has been postponed for another 2 months - still waiting on the mental health evaluation, I guess. But, now we won't have to worry about him being out and about for another 2 months or so. Now the divorce hearing (still scheduled for 1:30 Monday) will be done before the criminal trial. That is good. Thank you for all the prayer - and please keep it up - and Thank you, Lord, for hearing our prayers and answering them.

I have often wondered and marveled about how Linda gets her strength and courage. Not too many could keep her positive attitude through this long gruelling ordeal. The strength surely comes from the Lord, and all the prayers for her and her boys. She is a model of trust, faith, and love of our Lord. I am glad to know that Dennis' trial has been postponed. We can all sleep peacefully for another couple months anyway. I am not saying that I am glad he is in jail. I just hope they can figure out what is wrong with him, and get him in a place where he can get help, and that he can move on with his life in a productive manner, yet somewhere very far away any from us. I pray that when he begs for Linda's forgiveness and pity in his pathetic manipulative way that the Lord gives her the strength to deal with it. Linda is an extremely compassionate person, and this is her greatest strength. It can also be her weakness. She is also very smart and very strong and very positive in the face of great obstacles. I love Linda so much, and admire these many qualities about her. She had beared a heavy burden for so long. Dear Lord, Please lighten her load and continue to grant her
the strength necessary to ride out these troubled times. She is a blessing in our lives.

Kay - That is a wonderful love letter you wrote about your sister. She is an amazing woman. She does glorify the Lord and we are all blessed because of her example.

Thank you everyone, for the kind words that make me cry, and for all of the prayer support. I love you all! But, how come if I have all of these nice traits, I end up in so much trouble? God is surely making a character out of me. I couldn't do it without him and those he carefully placed in my life and my family.

The comment from Linda leads into my next prayer of biblical virtues: "Honesty and Integrity".

Linda - God is protecting you. I just know that - and I see it every day. You walk under an umbrella and the devil's "rain" can't touch you. The umbrella is your love of Jesus, and God's love for you. Never put it down! Carry it always. And always know, we are helping you carry it when we pray.

This is true for all of us!
