This prayer is such a good one. As we read it, pray it with all your heart. I am thinking of our upcoming family fun week-end as I pray it. I pray for all of us.
Please take a moment to relax your mind and humble your heart to focus on Christ. Allow God to be the only person on your mind while you read this prayer.
Dear Lord, I thank You for this day. I thank You for my being able to see and to hear this morning. I'm blessed because You are a forgiving God and an understanding God. You have done so much for me and You keep on blessing me.
Forgive me this day for everything I have done, said or thought that was not pleasing to you. I ask now for Your forgiveness. Please keep me safe from all danger and harm.
Help me to start this day with a new attitude and plenty of gratitude. Let me make the best of each and every day to clear my mind so that I can hear from You.
Please broaden my mind that I can accept all things. Let me not whine and whimper over things I have no control over. Let me continue to see sin through God's eyes and acknowledge it as evil. And when I sin, let me repent, and confess with my mouth my wrong doing, and receive the forgiveness of God.
And when this world closes in on me, let me remember Jesus' example - to slip away and find a quiet place to pray. It's the best response when I'm pushed beyond my limits. I know that when I can't pray, You listen to my heart.
Continue to use me to do Your will. Continue to bless me that I may be a blessing to others. Keep me strong that I may help the weak. Keep me uplifted that I may have words of encouragement for others.
I pray for those that are lost and can't find their way. I pray for those that are misjudged and misunderstood.
I pray for those who don't know You intimately. I pray for those that don't believe. But I thank you that I believe.
I believe that God changes people and God changes things.
I pray for all my sisters and brothers. For each and every family member in their households. I pray for peace, love and joy in their homes that they are out of debt and all their needs are met. I pray that every eye that reads this knows there is no problem, circumstance, or situation greater than God. Every battle is in Your hands for You to fight.
I pray that these words be received into the hearts of every eye that sees them and every mouth that confesses them willingly.
This is my prayer. In Jesus' name, Amen

Philippians 4:13 tells me,
“I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.”
This is another reminder that I can do nothing by myself.
MOM this is a great prayer. Thank you so much for posting it. I was blessed by it and I know I will be reading it a lot! Thanks again.

Praise God. I do believe He led me to it. It was buried deep in a file, and I just "happened to come across it". Thank you for letting me know it blessed you. And yes, do pray it lots.
I really like the Phil scripture you quoted here. And it is so true that we can do nothing by ourselves without HIM. Can we find any more such scriptures to quote here? Anyone?
"Give your burdens to the Lord. He will carry them. He will not permit the godly to slip or fall." Psalm 55:22 Tiffany sent me this scripture. It is a good one - if only I could remember and not take my burdens back so I can start to fret and fuss!
Thank you for posting this prayer, Lonnie. There is so much in it, that it does need to be read daily just to see what part of it pops out at you on each day! Thank you for being a Shepherdess for so many, myself included.
What a beautiful prayer - and so fitting. Thank you for the guidance.
Prayer is so powerful - I was reminded recently to sandwich my day in prayer. Pray in the morning and pray in the evening (the bread) and all day long pray little prayers, like "Thank you God, for creating me." or "I know you will never leave me nor forsake me." These short little prayers are the sandwich meat and lettuce, tomato, etc. If we only pray in the morning, that's not a very filling sandwich at all!
This prayer is a good one because it reminds me to pray for things I forget about.
I like the prayer sandwich Debbie. What a good way to think of the fulfillment and nourishment of daily prayer.
What a great example for prayer - a sandwich! Thanks, Debbie.
Let's all be praying for our days in Tacoma.
1) safety for everyone travelling there.
2) That we can all enjoy one another. That there would be peace and joy everywhere we are!
3) that Sharon will feel well enough to enjoy the time.
4) Healthy bodies for everyone!
5) Fun, fun, fun!
