Sunday - day of prayer for Kay and Russ

March 22, 2009

2 Timothy 2:8 "Remember the Good News 'Jesus Christ risen from the dead.'"

When times get hard - remember Jesus
When people don't listen - remember Jesus
When tears come - remember Jesus
When disappointment comes - remember Jesus

Remember the eyes of God that wept human tears. Jesus has experienced anything we could ever go through. Remember those times.

Rejoice and be thankful! As you walk though your days - walk with Me. Practice trusting and thanking Me all along the way. I do My greatest works through and for people with grateful, trusting hearts.

Lord, we ask you to bring forth that perfect job for Russ - and soon! We pray that he not grow discouraged and give up trying. We pray that you be in the job hunt with him. We pray that he not pass up that perfect chance.

We also ask, Lord, for Kay's boss a tendering of his heart. Help him to think before he speaks and yells and puts her and everyone down. She does a good job. Help him to know how far a simple "thank you - good job" will go.

We pray for Russ's dad, who is in the hospital in Denver with internal bleeding. Help the medical community to be able to diagnose his condition and find the problem and cause of the bleeding.

We thank you, Lord, for all you've done and all you will do for these two, your precious children.

"His eyes are on the sparrow, and I know He cares for me." Hang tough, Russ, that great job is on the horizon. Kay, please don't let a poop-head of a boss spoill your attitude and your day. I know that can be so so so so hard. Keep your eyes on Jesus.

Thank you Mom for the thoughtful prayers. I admire how you can close your eyes and pray and thoughts come to you from the Lord, thoughts that help us to self reflect, thoughts that help us to move forward in a positive manner.

My boss had some positive feedback for my performance today. He was in a good mood. I wish I knew what days he was going to be in a bad mood so I wouldn't schedule my appts with him on those days. You are right Sharon. I will not let a pompous greedy self centered man squelch my pride and spirit.

Russ will find out at 9AM tomorrow if he still has a job. Big meeting. We think they are shutting down the company. I'll keep you posted.

Did you find out anything, Kay?

Isn't it so comforting to know that we are being prayed for?

Your positive attitude and spirit of perseverance are inspiring, Kay. Don't give in and don't give up!

Yes, Russ - tell us what is happening to you and your job.

Hello Kay and Russ. Are you there?

Tell us how our prayers are being answered, or what else we need to know to pray about.

How is Russ's Dad? What did he find out?
