His Continued Presence in our Life

I think this promise from Hebrews is so powerful! What a promise: I will not fail you or desert you!

I like to go back and forward and read some more of the verses. So I will quote here what I read - vs 4b - Put greed out of your lives and be content with whatever you have; God himself has said: I will not fail you or desert you, and so I can say with confidence - vs6 - With the Lord to help me, I fear nothing; what can man do to me?"

Wish I could remember this when I need to.

I need to remember, too, that God has blessed me with everything I need, maybe not my wants so much, but with my needs! I am so thankful.

I like verse 28 of chapter 12, too: We have been given possession of an unshakeable kingdom. (the government of Our Lord is unshakable - nothing can destroy it) Let us therefore hold on to the grace that we have been given and use it to worship God in the way that he finds acceptable, in reverence and awe (some translations say fear).

God's words are powerful, aren't they? Another verse somewhere says "Seek ye first the kingdom of God and all these things will be given unto you". Just think of that!

Thanks for posting these promise scriptures, Debbie!
