Sorry, I'm slacking! New school year started and all my time is sucked up... but I will get back on track.

Oh, I just read Mom's response from Monday about this promise. I am so behind! Go there to read what Mom has to say about this promise.

Thanks for posting, Debbie.

Whenever I feel overwhelmed or anxious or afraid or any of those scary emotions that make me feel like I am out of control, I can rest in the assurance of this promise. God tells us that He will strengthen me, give me help, and uphold me with His righteous right hand. That is a comforting picture!

I copied what Mom wrote on Monday and put it here:

I love this scripture! I read in my bible - verse 9b-10:

"I have chosen you, not rejected you.
Do not be afraid, for I am with you;
stop being anxious and watchful, for I am your God.
I give you strength, I bring you help,
I uphold you with my right hand.

(down to verse 13):

For I, Yahweh, your God,
I am holding you by the right hand;
I tell you, 'Do not be afraid,
I will help you'."

Isn't that just such a wonderful promise? This book I've been telling you all about and wanting to send to you, if you want one, is saying this as I'm reading it today. It's talking about this passage from Isaiah. That's amazing to me. It tells me God truly is speaking to us. And He's saying - "Be not afraid, I'm here! You are never alone, you are never rejected! You are chosen! I will help you!" Thank you, Jesus! Thank you, Michelle for posting this wonderful promise from our God.

And now I pray, Lord, for the strength to know this - know it beyond any doubt.

Even though I know these things are the truth, I find myself incredibly anxious. I am crippled today with anxiety. I know this is not of the Lord and I am asking everyone for prayer.

We will be praying for you, Linda. When you are in this anxiety and crippled this way, it is really hard to pray and to know how to turn things around so you can have peace again. That is when you call on all of us to "stand in the gap" for you, and we will/are! Be strong, Linda. Don't give up. You are loved - God loves you and so do we!

I'm praying for you, too, Linda.

Thank you.

I am praying for you too Linda!! Aunt Lonnie there is so much truth in that statement - it is hard when you are overcome with anxiety to focus and pray. I hear chatter and noise and I stray often from my focus....but I am opening my heart and my mind to God regardless of whether or not i can stay focused in prayer. i only need to give Him that opportunity and i will receive a blessing..HE is with me always.
